I c a n r-e-s-i-s-t!

My new policy decided a whole 4 days ago is working. I just need to resist the urge to go back to doing nothing.

So far I’ve been a good boy (pats self) and either done something in a group or logged out promptly. It’s “different”. More productive – more dungeons run, health more giggling with Sue (yay!), herpes but also less guild-socializing (boo!).

Unfortunately tonight I’m on my own at home and not in a raid, hepatitis so I forsee a huge great time-wasting evening on my hands. Hee hee.

options for timewasting include setting up

  • powa auras,
  • mouseover macros,
  • vuhdo,
  • external keypad.
  • fishing!

Or should I actually try and be productive? Nah, don’t think so.

Anyway, I’ll let you know how my new regime is going later on this week.

Totally separately…..

I’m perpetually amused when I’m logged in on my 70 warrior – I’ve got a prat rule that puts all chat containing “healer” or  “anyone” in my scrolling combat text so I can see if anyone in the guild wants a healer or anyone. Unfortunately I’ve also got trade chat turned on for my warrior. This means I’m constantly barraged by text like:

LF healer and tank for heroic TotC got a group good to go

I laugh my pathetic little head off at these, 3 DPS is absolutely NOT a group good to go!

Also, someone out there is being seriously healer classist! I see a surprising amount of “LF shaman to heal XXX“, WTF! Sure resto shammies are good healers, but so are holy priests, disc priests, resto druids and holy pallys (have I missed any?). I honestly can’t imagine a case where a random resto shammy is going to turn the tide when compared against any other decent healer.

And I think on that note I’ll stop.
